Self proclaimed Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo Igboho has reacted to the Thursday morning invasion of his home and destruction of properties by gunmen alleged to be military men.

In a phone conversation with the BBC pidgin, the activist reveals that the gunshot started at exactly 1:30am and he woke up to shouts of “Sunday Igboho come out!”

Igboho who had planned a Lagos rally for Saturday July 3rd said he had been surprised by the shouts and the shots that followed.
He revealed that two men were killed while his property including all his vehicles were destroyed. He also mentioned the disappearance of two million Naira from his wardrobe.

“I am so surprised because I haven’t done anything, I didn’t kill anybody, I am only fighting for my people who have been killed, raped and kidnapped by the Fulani”
The embattled Igboho also revealed that all his rallies have been very peaceful.

Although Igboho revealed he was home when the attack took place, he didn’t reveal how he was able to escape and survive the assault.
