Governor Dapo Abiodun Mourns Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye

Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has taken to his social media page to mourn the passing away of Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, who reportedly died of COVID-19.
Sharing pictures of himself with the elder statesman, Dapo Abiodun stated that he would be greatly missed.

He wrote on his Instagram page; “News of Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye’s passing reached me this morning, bringing some heaviness to mind.
“The late Senator Durojaiye, who served the Nation diligently and was a worthy elder stateman, would be greatly missed.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, as we pray the Durojaiye family get over this irreparable loss with God’s comfort.” he added.

The late Senator Durojaiye was elected Senator for the Ogun East constituency of Ogun State in 1999.
He had previously worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria (director), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Federal Reserve System in US, and the City University London.
